Inkfruit gives away 3 TShirts Free!

February 18th, 2009 · 43 Comments

Way back in Oct 2008, I had done a post on Design your own Tshirts… I had written to every website i had mentioned and some of them got back to me and were nice enough to give away some freebies.

inkfruitInkfruit promised 3 tshirts free! Priyanka from Inkfruit has been after my life to get this post up and running. Priyanka 1000 apologies for the delay πŸ™‚

So who should i give the 3 tshirts too? Give me 3 websites/blogs/forums which you think rocks!

Dont give me the cliche’d yahoo’s hotmail’s and gmail’s…
Has to be something which readers will appreciate reading/knowing about…
Do give a reason why you think the website is kewl according to you…
Brownie points if One of the three websites mentioned is an Indian website

Example:

  • Smashingmagazine.com – Good info for designers/freebies
  • in.com – Good music/videos and games
  • Gizmodo.com – For all gadget freaks

The contest will be open for a week roughly and for People in India only. {Inkfruit will deliver it in India only}

Cheers,

All the best!

  • 4 Kunal // Feb 18, 2009 at 5:53 pm

Hi Sid, Sure why not… forums will also do… Can you also please mention .com or .in so it becomes easy for people to visit…

@Priyanka cmon this is sad, the post says inkfruit no need to get extra greedy and paste the link πŸ˜›

A good looking contest to get some attention. Way to go Inkfruit! I’m not sure if your looking specifically for design sites but here are some of the sites that I visit regularly.

    – digital-photography-school.com – Good site to learn photography. For photographers of all experience levels.

    – sixrevisions.com / smashingmagazine.com – These are the ultimate sites for designers / creative artists. Lots and lots to learn and get ideas from.

    – watblog.com – This one I’m sure many would be aware of. They regularly write articles on advertising, tech, mobile. They also have a section for startups, funding, etc. I like the events that they organize regularly.

    1) http://www.rottentomatoes.com

This site will give you all the latest information & upcoming hollywood movies traillers & info about that this is the coolest web site for Hollywood lovers for getting latest info for the movies & gossips in Hollywood.

    2)http://www.torrentscan.com/

Another coolest web site for downloads.. every latest or oldest Hollywood movie & music torrent is available on this site you can download very fast by using this site by using lime wire or any other torrent down loader.

    3) http://www.anonymizer.ru (ya domain is .ru)

Hmmm look’s like a unheard web site Hhhh..
but this is a very magical web site for those who wants to access the blocked url’s inside the company, schools, colleges
actually it is a web search engine type web site in which you can type url which you want to visit and that will open in your browser even if it is blocked by your administrator.
because you are now accessing the (.ru) domain which your admin will not block and now your request is going from russia directly to let say youtube.com so it will open youtube.com and you can enjoy all things on that.

In the words of its author “PluginID, named after the slogan β€˜Plug into Your Identity’, is a site about helping you realise who you are”.

    2) http://www.hubspot.com/
Hubspot is basically the alpha and omega when it comes to internet marketing.

    3)http://css-tricks.com/
Some of the coolest web technologies are on display @ css-tricks.com. Also they have a very comprehensive ‘downloads’ page that contains nearly every piece of code that you’d need for a website

    Ok here we go:

http://www.labnol.org – A super site for technology lovers – Serves all alike – amatures and experts. I feel the american blogs aren’t (always) that easy to relate for Indian readers. So Digital Inspiration scores for me.

http://www.engadget.com – over 11k posts in 2008 – Anything on technology and its there. Reports global stuff aswell, Search India … they have covered tech hapennings here aswell. Often before Indian biggies did. 24×7 updates, thats what impresses me. (And not to forget their authority – They are capable of knocking off $4bln off apple market value in 20mins)

http://www.techcrunch.com – While engadget is mostly gadgets and small posts on latest updates, TC is the industry reporter. If you are looking for review, analysis on tech hapennigns this is the place! (Not to forget the startups)

  • 15 Divya Chakravarthy // Feb 19, 2009 at 4:39 pm

Ok Kunal, (you did mention you have my size!!) there you go!

    My top picks:

http://www.postsecret.com – The cause is amazing and a site which never fails to move me every time I read it

http://www.in.com – Their content is great and they are mostly just aggregating it

http://www.musicindiaonline.com – never let me down whenever I have searched for music!

I would say Reddit (http://www.reddit.com) is a gem missed out by a lot of Indians. Lots of interesting news and even more interesting discussions to read. Another from the top of the head would be Freakonomics blog (http://freakonomics.blogs.nytimes.com/). Very interesting read. Third one I visit on a daily basis is Lifehacker (www.lifehacker.com). Totally awesome. You don’t have to be a geek to appreciate it!

  • 26 Hemantkumar Jain // Feb 22, 2009 at 3:27 pm

    1. Scribd.com – upload / search for documents
    2. SlideShare.net – upload / share presentations

over a period of time .. both these sites have managed to have a very good collection of docs and ppts’ on practically a very wide range of subjects. Like we do google search; a search on these sites often yields very good results.

    3. makemytrip.com

    no explanation needed here …

I also thought of the Indian Railway booking sites … indianrail.gov.in , irctc.com etc … but Raxit has already mentioned them so i am not repeating (by repeating them her)

  • 27 Nikhil Kulkarni // Feb 22, 2009 at 6:26 pm

    Mozy.com
Its a site to backup all your data … starts with a 2 GB free account and an extra GB for every two people you refer to Mozy. The person who registers from your referal also gets 512MB for using your promotion code/ URL.

I think in an age where all of us have huge amounts of data we want to be backed up and some of us so paranoid about loosing it that we backup our backups – Mozy is a gr8 solution. They take care of your backups …

Call it BaaS .. backup as a service ..

  • 28 Nikhil Kulkarni // Feb 22, 2009 at 6:49 pm

    to add my 2 mores

slideshare.net – doesnt need an intro … site to share presentations which are a cross between mindware – officeware and Art. Artifacts which are made in order to be shared – pity we didnt have such a service ealier.

dapper.net – amazing service which lets you scrap any (technically) static webpage and create a feed (XML / others) out of the changes in that page. Uses:
    1. change tracker … call it google alerts customized to changes on specific pages
    2. converts old web1.0 styled pages into new web2.0 styled content (RSS/XML)
    3. Coupled with services like Yahoo Pipes! classic content based mashups can be created …

First is Engadget.com- I am actually subscribed to two different feeds from Engadget. One is normal tech feed and other is mobile one.

Third one is a daily dose of Cartoon, http://leasticoulddo.com
It has one of the funniest of web comics on web.

    1. Aalaap (http://aalaap.com) ‘s Lincr(http://lin.cr) and LinkBunch (http://llinkbun.ch) – Lincr is the equivalent of tinyurl, LinkBunch – well you get multiple links combined to 1 single URL.

    2. Arun (aka Mixdev (http://twitter.com/mixdev))’s txtbin (http://txtb.in) – want to enter lots of text (say, a log file output) and publish it ? Txtbin’s for you!

Finally, I can never, ever leave out twitter. (http://twitter.com)
